We are in a very crucial time in our christian life and we really need God’s intervention in order to survive this time. What we really need at this time is more of God else we cannot over come whatever comes to us as storm. Briefly let us consider what Jesus is saying to us as His disciples today.
Mark 4: 35- 39 “And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm”.
When Jesus started His ministry, after he was anointed. God said I have prepared you, you are now ready and the devil had to go and test what God had prepared. You are also going to be tested. The storms, the winds, the waves are going to come against you. Take the disciples for example. Jesus told them lets cross over to the other side. They got into the boat and what next, the heavens opened up with fierce rain and the sea began to boil, the aim was to stop the boat from getting to the other side. Satan knew that if they crossed over successfully, something spectacular was going to happen. A divine appointment had been kept with somebody who needed intervention and the evil wanted to stop it. I believe that, we are at the threshold of intervention, and the threshold of intervention a fierce storm is going to come, you and I have to prepare now, against the time of the storm.
Standing in the Time of the Storm
You must take heed to the words you have been hearing, if you had been taking notes, you need to go back to your notes, the church service, camp and conference tape and cd’s you have not listened to, you need to go and listen to them, those you have listened to, listen to them again, listen over and over again that word may profit you. every word that has been given to you, will have to be accounted for because you are going to meet a challenge and it is that word you have received that will keep you in that hour….any word that you have ignored, you need to go back and grasp it. None of the words sent to you (as long as it was from God) is purposeless. Get back, take stock, look through and begin to prepare yourself, a time is coming when that hand that is restraining will gradually be removed and you are going to meet challenges. The Lord is expecting that for every challenge you will stand.
Eph. 6:13 “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”.
May the Lord help us to leave all that speaks of the multitude in our lives and cross with him to the other side of demonstration of faith in Jesus name.
