We are looking at the brief history of Asher and his blessing which the father-Jacob (Israel) pronounced on him and Asher was indeed blessed despite the geneology of her mother as a handmaid- some called her a slave girl, but remember we were all slaves until Jesus Christ purchased us with His precious blood .
This tells us that wherever place you come from is immaterial or irrelevant before God, He chooses to bless whosoever He will without any apology that is the God we have to do.
According to the Biblical account Asher was the eighth of Jacob’s sons, the second borne to him by Zilpah the handmaid of Leah. His uterine brother was Gad (Genesis 35:26). With four sons and one daughter he went down into Egypt (Genesis 46:17). At his birth Leah exclaimed, “Happy am I! for the daughters will call me happy.
In Gen 49: 20 says; “Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties”.Deut33:24-25. “And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be”
Great are the prophetic declaration concerning Asher. In Gen 49:20 the Lord declared that his bread shall be fat and he shall yield royal dainties. This re echoes in mount Zion in the life of a people.
Isaiah 25:6 says”And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined”
. To many these fat things are acquisition of material things, big cars , big houses, big church building, partying life style among a social circle etc . This they call success. He gives them the desire of their heart. But the souls continually pines away. What one feeds on account for healthy body. Same with the soul. Asher’s bread is fat which is oilly. Oil is the grace for preservation and constant freshness of life. What a wonderful place to ascend in God.
Asher’s ministry….how that it is not material acquisitions but spiritual enlargement. May God help us seek for our spiritual blessings in the heavenly places and not on the earth.
The oil is the anointing that is able to break every yoke in our life and release the mortality in immortal path. It is only found from feeding upon the royal dainties. These royal dainties is the hidden manner which the Lord promised those who refused to eat food sacrifice to idols and to commit fornication. It is the white stone of synthesis that shall unlock the key of resolving karmic weights and free the soul to become born of the Spirit. GLORY BE TO GOD.
